For ten years, our optical co-workers from Northern California struggled through their negotiations with Kaiser. They lost their income security, their health costs skyrocketed, and had not seen a raise in two years.

Their determination to repair the damage and secure a better future led them to rejoin SEIU-UHW and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions.

Thanks to the support and the unity of 58,000 SEIU-UHW workers across Kaiser, our optical co-workers now have a new contract that protects the high standard of our SEIU-UHW and Coalition agreements with guaranteed raises and improved benefits.
