The Executive Board consists of a total of 274 members: 236 representative members, a 32 member Executive Committee, 4 advisory seats (2 Ethics and 2 Finance), and 2 Retiree seats.
The Executive Committee includes a president and vice president who are elected union-wide, 8 members elected union-wide (rank and file member and staff UHW member-eligible), and one union member for every 5,000 SEIU-UHW members by division and geography, and only rank-and-file members are eligible. Members from each division elect members to these seats.
The Executive Committee meets monthly to implement decisions of the Executive Board.
Board members are elected by SEIU-UHW members at a ratio of 1 member for every 500 members by division and geography. Only rank-and file members are eligible for these positions. Members elect members from their constituency.
There are two financial officers and two ethics officers. They are also elected by division and are advisory to the executive board on financial and ethical matters. Only rank-and-file members are eligible.
