ACTION ALERTS: Protests Rock Southern & Northern CA

We Reject Stanford Health Care’s Greed

Stanford Health Care executives have no shame. They’re furloughing workers during this pandemic in what amounts to a 24% pay cut, even though Stanford hospitals received $136 million from taxpayers in federal bailout funds — the most in the state.

So yesterday over 100 Stanford workers joined together with community leaders, students, and public figures including Assemblymember Ash Kalra for a socially-distanced protest to demand that Stanford stop harming the healthcare heroes who are putting our lives on the line during this pandemic.

Our Fight for Respect at Providence St. Joseph

Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center calls caregivers “essential” — and then uses this crisis as an opportunity to keep our pay as much as 20% lower than other area hospitals. On Tuesday we held a socially-distanced protest to demand that management respect us and the critical work we do guiding our community and state through this pandemic.
